Little Paper Planes presents, Buddy System! If you live in SF, get down to Rare Device (1845 Market St.) at 7pm tonight, for the opening! Four artists were selected and then each of them had to invite a buddy to be a part of the show as well. The eight artists showing are: Caitlin Gallupe + Bridget Moser, Claire Grill + Aline Cautis, David Wilson + Nathaniel Russell, Jess Wheaton + Matt Momchilov.
Night Vision went down Friday night at Strathcona Park and several hundred people showed up to listen to music, chill out, and enjoy some photography. There was a little incident with the sprinklers but there’s nothing like a group shower to spice up a party! Huge props to Natasha Lands and Jennilee Marigomen for making it all happen!
The first three shots are courtesy of Julian Hecht, and I shot the last two from my blanket!
My friend Meighan O’toole, of My Love For You fame, is curating her first physical art exhibition! Essentially the show is a collection of her favourite work from many of the artists she’s posted about during the past two years. This is something I would love to do at some point and I am so excited for her! Way to go Meighan! The show is called You’ve Got Light in Your Eyes and it opens May 2nd 2009 at San Francisco’s Needles & Pens Gallery. If you are familiar with her blog, you know it will be amazing!
Artists include: 1911, Kate Bingaman Burt, Jill Bliss, Will Bryant, Kime Buzzelli, John Casey, Lisa Congdon, Liam Devowski, Bill Dunlap, Kenn Goodall, Maxwell Loren Holyoke-Hirsch, Know Hope, Olivia Jeffries, Aidan Koch, Ashley Lande Brown, Jeremiah Maddock, Leslie Martinez, Terri Olsen Von Schaub, Mike Perry, Shannon Rankin, and Dan Szymanowski.
