The Simpsons will now be shown widescreen (HD) and to celebrate this they finally made some changes to their intro! Granted I haven’t watched the show for several seasons now (and the movie was an utter disappointment) it is still fun to spot all the little additions of new references and characters. The episode has already aired on the east coast and will air here in a couple hours.
Back in 2002 I came across a great issue of Shift Magazine (a now defunct Canadian mag similar to Wired) which featured clay busts of the whole Simpsons family. I loved them so much, I immediately tore out the pages and stuck them on my wall. They are actually still on my wall, and last month I was thinking about scanning them to put them up here but I realised I didn’t even know who had created them.
A few days ago – totally out of the blue – Karen Caldicott dropped me a link to her clay work and when I loaded up her site I was shocked – I couldn’t believe it. She was the one who had made the clay sculptures! I’ve been a fan of hers all this time and didn’t know it! MORE…
