Artwork submitted to the 2008 No Comply skateboard artshow is now online. Fantastic work from 70+ artists, including two of my friends, SheOne (UK) and Mr 44 (LA). No Comply is out there in Australia so naturally Meggs and Eamo are on the bill as well. The artwork directly below is by Two One.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who participated and to all of you who came out in record numbers to vote. You guys really made this project a lot of fun, stay tuned for Project #5, it’s gonna be another fun one!
If you came here hoping to see some skateboarding taken to a completely different level, today is your lucky day. This is some of the craziest footage I have ever seen. Highlights include Gou boardsliding a chain hanging between two posts?! Thanks to Jolin for posting this one to the Booooooom Facebook Group.
Alright boys and girls Project #4 is here – Design a skateboard for Booooooom! The good folks over at Popdeck made this one possible, so a big thank you to them. This is your chance to design a skateboard and have it sent to you! One month from now I will select the three most creative submissions and then we’ll have a vote. The winning submission will be made available on Popdeck, for the extremely low price of $35, and the winner will receive their own skateboard via mail – free of charge! Accepting submissions until October 25th.
The design can have as much or as little to do with Booooooom as you want but it must be original work! Just be creative!

Not too long ago Zoo York ran a little viral campaign with a box full of spray-painted cockroaches. They just revealed the Cockroach Artist Series boards that accompany the campaign, and they’re some of the better board graphics I’ve seen in a long time. This is mainly due to the fact that I am a big fan of Greg Lamarche! I love his hand-lettered signs.
My buddy Bob Kronbauer is releasing his first film “Little Giants Volume One: Don Pendleton”. The film is a peek into the life of Don Pendleton whose breadth of amazing artwork for Alien Workshop alone is staggering, let alone his work for Element and other companies. Below are some of the faces you’ll see in the film – all singing Pendleton’s (well-deserved) praises. View the trailer below!
Keeping with the laser theme my good friend, Damion Silver sent me over some sample photos of the laser-etched skateboards he created. I believe there will be an extremely limited run available on Digital Gravel next week! Stay tuned! Now all we need is some sharks with frickin’ lasers attached to their heads.
Have a look at the full board after the jump!
