Brent Bielmann and Eric Sterman’s breathtaking drone footage from Tahiti is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Great perspective on one of the most famous surf breaks in the world. Watch “Teahupo’o, Du Ciel” below.
This is not CGI, DC Shoes just released a ridiculous video of Robbie “Maddo” Maddison riding a modified motorbike into a wave at Teahupo’o. Not sure how the surf community will feel about Tahiti’s iconic waves being charged by a guy in motocross gear, the part where he rips past some people paddling just makes it all seem so obnoxious. While it’s hard to deny its brilliance from a design standpoint, this video will surely be divisive.

Insane Video of the Day: Pro Surfer Mick Fanning Attacked by Shark During Surfing Final in South Africa
THIS IS CRAZY. Just as the final of the J-Bay Open at South Africa’s Jeffreys Bay was getting underway on Sunday, surfer Mick Fanning was attacked by a shark on live television. Miraculously he was able to get away completely unscathed, punching the shark in the back, before being rescued. The final was eventually cancelled when two other sharks were spotted in the area.
It is insane to me that they continue to surf here when there are so many shark-related incidents. Pretty wild to see this all caught on tape, but isn’t it only a matter of time before something worse happens? Is it worth it? Watch the full video clip of the event below.
Quincy Symonds aka “The Flying Squirrel” just turned six and she’s already captured the attention of the entire surfing world. Watch the video below.
Each year, Nixon organises one of the most remote surf contests on the planet. Ten of the best European surfers are invited to an unknown surf destination, to battle against their own fears without the pressures of the public or the press. In June 2014, the wild terrain of Kamchatka, Russia, was chosen to host The Nixon Surf Challenge.
