More creative work outta Auckland, New Zealand – this time from a creative studio known as Special Problems. They created this great little video for Tame Impala’s song, Half Full Glass of Wine.
View the video here (quicktime). Gave me lots of great ideas for shooting a video on a budget. More fantastic stills below (and yes they are all from the same video)!
Why pay $300 for a fisheye when you can go to Home Depot and build one for $20? My friend Ryan and I bought a peephole and a couple pieces of pvc, stuck them together with a hot glue gun, and it was done. Literally 20 minutes. I felt like Steven Seagal when he made that silencer with a 2L pop bottle in Under Siege.
Take a peek at the fishy footage and some more photos below!
Le Blogotheque recently put up some great videos of Priscilla Ahn and I instantly became her biggest (and newest, and best-looking) fan. Listening to her voice is like sipping hot chocolate by the campfire. If you like this song, there’s a couple more after the jump.
Jessica over at Pacific Cinematheque (great non-profit threatre here in downtown Vancouver) just let me know that on Monday October 20th (7:30pm) they will be screening some of the best work from Miranda July’s Joanie 4 Jackie Chainletter Tapes. Female filmmakers/artists were invited to submit work to July, the work was then compiled onto videotapes and mailed back out to everyone who contributed. So if you submitted something you recieved a tape of your own work along with an assortment of other artists’ work. Cool idea.
