I posted about Shawn Kuruneru earlier this month and oh, what have we here? A zine filled with his drawings! Thanks Shawn.
The first issue of Blood of the Young Zine is finally online and it’s chalk full of photographers featured on Booooooom. Nice work Hodgson! Download the PDF here.
Julien Kedryna, from the drawing collective Modèle Puissance, just let me know about about the collective’s brilliant new book, Random. There are 100 copies of the book and they intentionally made more drawings than what are featured in any one copy of the book, so only 80 of the 100 books will have the same drawing. The drawings also appear in a completely different order, so each one has a new neighbor in each book.
It gets better, the books feature six different types of paper which allow the viewer to identify each artist, and 20 of the 100 books feature the original drawings! Amazing!
Amy over at Pikaland has a good thing going on with her zine, Good To Know. The second issue is all about personal style and the importance of knowing what that style is (a great topic for discussion)!
A great little photo zine called All Things Ordinary just showed up on my doorstep. Issue #1 of this LA-based publication features work by many photographers I’ve mentioned before: Bryan Schutmaat, Ye Rin Mok, Nicholas Haggard, Eleanor Hardwick, and my friend Erin Loechner (Design For Mankind)!
Super Duper has a small free zine that you can print out and fold yourself. I like the doodles that Will Bryant contributed.
Reilly of Blood of the Young sent me over some nice buttons! Better keep your eye on this photo blog/zine if you know what’s good for ya!
