Fēmĭna is a series of women's portraits. Some of them come from some of mine previous works some other are totally brand new. The aim of the series is the representation of the woman from a different point of view, with no gender boundary whatsoever. I would say that it is a darker vision of women's essence and attitude, more linked to a stoic aggressiveness and body roughness. Fēmĭna represents the hidden, or in some case totally forgotten, women wildness, tightly associated to a stoic aggressiveness and body roughness. The name "fēmĭna" derives from Latin and means "female" . It highlights the most animal aspects of women's core and is not connected to a specific age or time. Fēmĭna aims to find a more real, raw and emotional beauty through a new representation of women more linked to a feminine mythologic iconology.
