I use photography to situate myself in the worlds I exist between. By photographing both constructed and found scenes, I investigate the boundary of truth and fiction.
In 2018, I made a series in Western Massachusetts of young people at a somewhat consequential crossroads. The early twenties seem to be a time of convolution, where everything is permitted, but nothing is possible. I created situations that didn’t necessarily exist but that easily could have. The series addresses my feelings about intimacy and coming of age; the people portrayed in the images function as surrogates for my attachments.
