Eloise Mavian, the daughter of an Armenian father and Bulgarian mother, was born in Venice, Italy.
Her father ran a camera shop in Piazza San Marco and so from an early age was surrounded by and interested in photography. She studied visual arts at the University of Venice, then specialized in Cinematography in Madrid. Growing up exposed to the art scene of Venice has been a big influence in the way she approaches her work; always striving to capture the beauty in photography.
She finds moments of beauty in the mundane, capturing what can appear as insignificant scenes from daily life. Eloise looks at the aesthetic details of things and places she visits.
She works as a professional photographer in cycling races all around Europe. She lives now between Venice and Maastricht.
