Evan Parsons is a self-taught Canadian artist living in Southern California. He spent the majority of his early adult life refining his creative skills at various gas stations, video stores and coffee shops. Currently, his photography explores themes of humour, melancholy, and isolation in the American landscape. He is inspired by the New Topographics movement, Fred Herzog, and his own cat. He strives to create photographs that are both nostalgic yet current, familiar and also unusual.
