Artist Spotlight: Maija Savolainen

Gorgeous series by Helsinki-based artist Maija Savolainen. “Paperworks (See/Sea)” is made up of sheets of folded (white A4) paper, placed in direct sunlight and photographed at different times of the day/year. A study on photographic ways of seeing, the final result looks like a horizon line when seen from afar and a folded piece of paper upon closer inspection. More images below.
