I posted her work a few years ago and we got to hang when she came to Vancouver a couple weeks ago. She has a brilliant mind, so many ideas. I could actually feel my brain expanding when we talked. Lately she’s been experimenting with projection mapping and origami, and touring with Sepalcure (handling their live visuals). She’s killing it.

Animated 3D-Printed Sculptures by Artist John Edmark

Check out the latest batch of 3D-printed sculptures by artist and inventor John Edmark (previously featured here). Based on the same geometrical ratios found in nature, Edmark’s spiralling “Blooms” come to life when spun under a strobe light specifically synchronized to flash at every 137.5º turn. Our friend Brendan Monroe’s show “Mammatus” just opened at Curator’s Cube in Tokyo. We stopped by the space last week and it all looked fantastic — a nice mix of drawing, painting and sculpture (especially loved the ceramics). The shows up until the 29th so if you happen to be in Japan go go go.
