2026 Booooooom Illustration Awards: Call to Submit

Calling all illustrators! The Booooooom Illustration Awards are back and submissions are officially open! The award categories this year are: “Personal”, “Editorial”, “Product & Merchandise”, “Advertising & Promotional”, and “Student”. We have cold hard cash up for grabs, prizes from BenQ, True Grit Texture Supply, and Clip Studio Paint, and we handpicked a new panel of guest judges.

After the incredible response to last year’s awards, the sky’s the limit for how much bigger this year will be. If you didn’t see the mini-site, you can see all the images from the previous winners, shortlist, and longlist here. Just think, it could you be featured this time!

Everyone is welcome to submit an image to these awards for FREE. If you want to submit more than that, we have special Early Bird deals for Submissions (up to 10 images to a single category) as well as an Awards Pass (unlimited submissions and unlimited images for all award categories).

This is an opportunity for your work to be seen and recognized—not only by us, but more importantly by our distinguished guest judges. This year we are honoured to have: Jean Jullien (Artist), Claudia Rubín (Senior Art Director, Bloomberg Businessweek), Hassan Rahim (Founder & Creative Director, 12:01), and Naomi Otsu (Illustrator & Graphic Designer).

All 5 winners will the win prizes mentioned below and be interviewed and featured on our website. There will also be a shortlist (20 illustrators) and a longlist (200 illustrators), all of which will be featured on our Awards mini-site and promoted across our social channels.

This year we have a $5000 USD cash prize pool and we’ve lined up some fantastic product sponsors. BenQ is providing an array of incredible monitors, with specific models selected for each category winner. Naomi Otsu is a New York–based illustrator and graphic designer whose work spans fashion, sportswear, food and culture. Her clients include The New York Times, New York Magazine, A24, Nike, Adidas, The North Face, Tiffany & Co. and HBO.
