rebecca-chaperon-01

My friend Rebecca Chaperon gave me two signed copies of her new book “Eerie Dearies”, featuring a painting for each letter of the alphabet. I’m keeping one book, and I’ll give the other one to anyone willing to come get it from me (meaning someone in, or close to, Vancouver).

Have a peek inside the book below. If you wanna snag the book leave a comment with a sentence about your favourite letter of the alphabet.

  • Gergana

H is for hibernation – lying dormant in the ground, like a feeble flower

  • Jaz Pawa

C is for Contagious: my love for Art is contagious!!

  • Plastig Ffantastig

S is for sleep – and the dreams which I see. :)

“A’s” are as awesome as all astral anomalies (and awkward alliterations).

  • shauna

C is my favourite…crushes (fleeting), contentilla (sometimes), cantankerous (much later), cardamom (always).

  • Sarah Blum

F is for Fiddle-faddle! Vancouver is one whole North America away! Unless of course, the book can be picked up during the summer (or spring break perhaps)…

then S is for Serendipity! I was thinking about how nice it would be to make a cross country journey this summer!

  • Seth Richards

H is for Hymenoptera – Insects with a membrane wing, also the largest order of insects…….. Pretty rad….

  • Y because who really wants to be a consonant all the time? (and I live nowhere near Vancouver)

  • subtle takeover

I like the letter Y. Why you ask? Why not.

  • Angie

I like ‘A’ because it’s the first letter of my name and it survived the end of the Roman Empire to be a letter we all use today always.

  • Phil

S is for Science – because science!

  • B-because being best beats being boastfully boring, bro. (I can’t pick it up… I live in the states)

  • Q is for quirks and quips and quacks! I love how these words sound!

  • Emily

My favourite letter is ‘L’ because when I was a child I thought it was the start of a super letter ELEMENOHPEE (LMNOP).

    • Congrats Emily, Rebecca chose you as the winner! I’m emailing you about picking up the book!

  • Moorea Hum

M: for the highs and lows

  • Alison

x is for xylophone! And -arguably- the most fun letter to draw with vigour : )
I am SO excited that rebecca has a book out, she is a talented, talented dear

  • Adriana Vala

  • Christy

Director Jordan Peele’s Alternate Ending to “Get Out” (Leaked Video Clip)

Spoiler Alert: Do not click below if you haven’t seen “Get Out” yet! I wasn’t completely mind-blown by this movie but I really enjoyed it and I’m excited to see what director Jordan Peele makes next (apparently his next “social thriller” is slated for 2019). I don’t want to say too much but I thought the end of the film was unexpected and satisfying. Now an alternate version has leaked and it’s interesting because it’s also not what I thought was going to happen. Watch the full clip below.
