Kid Koala
Kid Koala has just put up The Slew: 100% for FREE. “6 turntables meets the ex-Wolfmother rhythm section”. I’ve been listening to this all day, download it and catch ‘em on tour if you can!
An A&R at Rocafella contacted Alex Goose to submit instrumentals for Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 album. None of these made the cut, but the internet is buzzing about the album that could have been.

My friend Rico is THE dj in Vancouver right now and he just put together this awesome mix for the upcoming Livestock Block Party. I try not to post too much music here so you know this one is legit.
If you’re in Vancouver this Sunday (September 13th) head to 239 Abbot St and party with us and thousands of our friends. No charge. All ages.
See you there.
Pitchfork has just released their picks for the Top 500 tracks of the last decade! I can’t believe 1999 was ten years ago.
Let the arguing commence.
Graniph just sent me over the new CSS remix album (Japan Only), Donkey Party: Bate Cabelo – and the cover art was drawn by CSS vocalist, Lovefoxxx herself! Pretty rad!
Keep an eye out for her tee for Graniph coming out this month! They also sent me a beautiful Miles Davis tee from their upcoming jazz series. I love the illustration!
My friends at Lifetime Collective invited me out for a BBQ on their patio and then a few (million) other people showed up to hear Lightning Dust, Ladyhawk, and Constantines make some noise. It was a great party! Lifetime is a brand that fully supports the scene, and they’re also the ones behind the magazine I mentioned before, Selector. Cheers fellas!
My sister just sent me this video of Mos Def performing Quiet Dog on Letterman. Amazing performance (fingers crossed for the album)!
