“Botanical Inquiry” by Photographer Daniel Shipp

Sydney-based photographer Daniel Shipp fosters a renewed appreciation for traditionally under-appreciated plants. Collecting a variety of foliage, culturally designated as “weeds,” Shipp then shoots them in dioramas using effects techniques developed for early cinema as a way of showcasing their unique beauty and knack for survival.
