“From my window” by Illustrator Sandra Rilova

Illustrator Sandra Rilova depicts a world populated with people separated both by distance and by obstacles that have been placed in their way. While the mysterious scenes contain a whimsical quality, for Rilova the series is “not so far from reality.” As she shared with us:

“We can find that same scene represented in a more crude way in the borders (refugees) of the countries that are now at war, whose less advantaged population wants to leave in search of a better future.”
