Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg — the first-ever major retrospective of international art icon Takashi Murakami’s work in Canada, opens at the Vancouver Art Gallery on February 3rd. To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with @vanartgallery & @shangrila_van to host a group of local and international influencers at a special Instameet on February 1, which also happens to be Takashi Murakami’s birthday! Guests will get an exclusive exhibition preview and have the opportunity to meet creative genius Takashi Murakami!

This once-in-a-lifetime event will be followed by a Murakami-inspired culinary menu prepared by Executive Chef Ken Nakano at the Shangri-La Hotel’s signature restaurant @marketjg_van.
