An experimental series by New Zealand artist Elliot O’Donnell aka Askew One. Inspired by technological innovation and the fundamental nature of things, O’Donnell used a 3D scanner to catalogue random objects, plants, faces and textures. Compressed together, the resulting images offered an abstract reality of moving masses and glitched-out amalgamations, which became the starting point for O’Donnell’s paintings. Enhancing shadows, amplifying movement and, ultimately, working to render immaterial data tangible, see more images from “Entropic World” below.
