“Myth and Reality” by Photographer Jeremy Jude Lee

Photographer Jeremy Jude Lee explores the imagery and symbolism in the classic American coming of age genre, referencing the various cliches of boyhood depicted in those films. This series perfectly captures the experience I had, growing up as an Asian kid watching white actors play all the roles I was supposed to identify with. There’s a beautiful undertone of loneliness here that I quite like.

Each week our members share their work with us and we highlight the best of these submissions as Editors’ Picks. If you have work to share, you can learn more about becoming a member.
