Justin Kaneps grew up in suburban NJ, he received a BFA from The Art Institute of Boston and now resides on the coast of San Francisco. His work has taken him to the hollers of Appalachia, forests of Scandinavia and the diverse environment of Central America. He was selected as of PDN’s 30 New Emerging photographers to watch in 2017.

While he maintains a strong affection for anthropologic documentary work, he has spent the last few years working for editorial clients including, but not limited to, The California Sunday Magazine, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Esquire, among others.
