A selection of new work by Vancouver-based painter Eric Louie (previously featured here). Part of his ongoing exploration of the interplay of forms and states of transition, Louie uses colour, shape, gradient — accented with chrome-like effects — to reinforce a sense of palpability, resulting in compositions that feel both abstract and tangible. See more images from “Awakening” below or on display at Bau-Xi Gallery in Vancouver April 4 – 20.
