A new collection of work from Los Angeles-based artist Hilary Pecis. Continuing to explore the realms of still life, landscape, interiors, “From a Place in the Light” is a reference to artists living in LA who often cite the value of the city’s quality of light. Drawing even further on her own experience, Precis’ paintings utilize sites from her surroundings, often incorporating graphic qualities and materials (book spines, storefronts, labels) taken from her own archive of personal snapshots. See more lovely images below or on display at The Pit in LA until June 8.
