A selection of work by Hamburg-based illustrator, animator, and filmmaker Raman Djafari. Djafari is interested in exploring the subjective perception of reality as well as the emotional experience of self. Depicting fragile and uncertain states of being through surreal figuration and fragmented narratives, Djafari constructs “a shivering image of the human condition.” Since 2018 he has been working closely with fellow illustrator and filmmaker Daniel Almagor, creating animated music videos, stage visuals, and short films.
