A lovely series of drawings by Scottish illustrator Christine Berrie. Inspired by the city in which she was born, Berrie chronicles the transitory states of old store fronts:
“As a Glasgow-born illustrator, I love exploring the city for new things to draw. Recently I’ve been enjoying finding and creating drawings of old shop fronts. Some are boarded-up shops waiting to be turned into something new. Some have been closed for years and remain on a busy street nestled between trendy cafes and boutiques. I enjoy drawing each one isolated from the street, focusing on the composition of the different blocks of colour, bits of type and scraps of metal that form the full composition.”
