A selection of paintings by Los Angeles-based artist Kris Chau. Inspired by indigenous folk tales and myths, Chau explains that her paintings serve as a visual language: “As we find more ways to isolate ourselves in the name of progress, we need symbols and stories to remind ourselves to stay to connected to nature and our own human magic.”
