A selection of work by illustrator and animator Seo Young Kwon from Seoul, South Korea. Seo Young is interested in bringing contrasting ideas or characteristics together in a single layout. Some of the combinations she explores are reality and the surreal, living and nonliving, hard and soft, fixed and flowing. As she explains further:
“They are placed on the screen in a messy but harmonious way as if they were assembled. I like the strange atmosphere that comes from the nature of the image colliding. And I continue to explore the many possibilities and sensibilities of color.”
