Holly Chang is a self-taught photographer based in Toronto, Canada. Using photography as a medium with which to explore themes of identity and isolation, Chang’s quiet aesthetic unpacks the layered emotional nuances that are present within the anxieties that surround a mixed identity. The dualisms in the complexities of her personal narrative balance the motifs of light and dark, soft and hard, etc. Chang has a deep interest in the integration of research creation in her practice.
