A selection of illustrations by Los Angeles-based author and cartoonist Sam Alden. Known for his comics New Construction, It Never Happened Again, Lydian and Haunter, Alden has also worked as a writer and storyboarder for shows like Adventure Time and Summer Camp Island. When it comes to illustration, Alden explains:

“My intentions as an illustrator have pretty much always been to create an immersive and emotional atmosphere. Deciding on the colors and light quality of each illustration often feels more important to that goal than the contents of the scene depicted.”
