Amanda Webster is a New York-based photographer and photo editor. She has been making work in the American West over the course of the past five years, and she shares a selection from the ongoing series she is working on. Challenging the nostalgic tropes of the region, Webster explains that she documents its people and places as a record—“in anticipation of inevitable loss, both culturally and physically”.
