A lifelong resident of East Tennessee, Wilson is interested in creating what he describes as “images that poke fun at the ideas that the majority of people seem to have of people in the Appalachian area.” He embraces these stereotypes and preconceived notions, exploring themes of identity and familiar relations with his images.
