Illustrator Spotlight: Hugo Bernier

A selection of brilliant work by Montreal-based illustrator and graphic designer, Hugo Bernier. Of the work he says, “My drawings led me to learn about graphic design, and now my graphic design work is influencing my drawings. My illustration style is mostly formal and line based, so text and lettering can fit right in. My work isn’t particularly conceptual, but if there is any specific concept it’s usually pretty simple and I can use text to incorporate it.” He’s currently working on making a book and exploring ways to make his art more complex and layered.
