Born between a desert of palm trees and the Mediterranean sea, photographer Oumayma B. Tanfous left her native country of Tunisia and relocated to Canada at age ten, where she pursued a degree in graphic design and photography. Her unique style navigates seamlessly between documentary and fashion, and she leans into narratives—working with her subjects to tell stories and revealing personality through image. Now based between New York City and Montreal, Tanfous works with top publications and brands, while building a personal portfolio documenting her journeys along the way.
