A selection of recent work by Los Angeles-based artist Samantha Rosenwald. With a BA in Art History from Vassar College, and an MFA in Fine Art from California College of the Arts, Rosenwald’s work has been shown both nationally and internationally. Working primarily in colored pencil, her quirky drawings thread together contemporary culture, visual pun, and the dogmas of art history, creating absurd, personal, and darkly funny portraits, which illustrate what it feels like to be alive.
