A selection of introspective paintings by Warsaw-based artist Hanna Krzysztofiak. A graduate of the Graphics Department at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Krzysztofiak incorporates elements of kitsch and self-irony as she plays with the idea of the creative process as self-therapy. Her paintings focus on the complexities of one’s interior life and unflattering thoughts and emotions, like shame. In Krzysztofiak’s world confrontation is an opportunity for liberation and feminism emerges through an embrace of solitude. Check out more from Krzysztofiak below!
