A selection of 3D scenes and 2D drawings from Chinese illustrator and artist Joanne Joo. Currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, Joo is known for her quirky characters that harmoniously blend storytelling and imagination. Joo believes in entering the headspace of her characters in order to better understand their perspective. While initially using digital brushes with heavy textures and details, Joo’s approach to illustration underwent a significant transformation after discovering 3D modelling. She now employs 3D models as her canvas, seamlessly blending them into her paintings to create a truly unique and captivating style. See more images below.
