Drawings by Singaporean painter Claudia Koh currently based in Providence. Koh’s work incorporates symbolism and cultural elements to explore the intricate interplay between her body and both natural and manmade surroundings. Asserting her presence seamlessly into her environment, Koh’s exploration extends to the complex relationship between body and mind, particularly the challenges of facing a sense of detachment from one’s home and the emotions of anxiety, grief, and neglect exacerbated by physical distance.
