“Upon a Golden Mountain” by Artist Adrian Kay Wong

A new series of paintings integrating personal stories, memories, and cultural identity by Los Angeles-based artist Adrian Kay Wong (previously featured here). In “Upon a Golden Mountain” Wong depicts subtle narratives into the seemingly incidental moments of the everyday. Navigating the boundaries between abstraction and representation, artifice and reality, ethereal and visceral, Wong’s images speak to the dualities that coexist in our daily lives, such as connection and isolation, belonging and solitude, love and loss.

See more from “Upon a Golden Mountain” below or on display at Uprise Art in NYC until May 24th.
