A selection of work by artist Gabriel Pozzo. Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, Pozzo’s work is a culmination of personal experiences and memories infused with fantastical elements that subtly emphasize a particular narrative or overarching theme like time, ambition, intimacy, and relationships. Pozzo’s website contains a “blog” section with short essays that offer more context and backstory to his individual pieces. For example, reflections on Mexico City (where Pozzo lived for a year back in 2015), growing up in Venezuela, as well as dreams and aspirations for the future. Pozzo’s older brother also marks a significant influence in Pozzo’s work as he describes their relationship as one “I’m bound to for the rest of my life and one that shapes me every day.”
