A selection of work from artist Damien Cifelli (previously featured here). Currently pursuing his MA in Painting at The Royal College of Art, Cifell’s work explores an alternative world of his own creation called “Tarogramma.” Everything he creates exists within this fictional environment. Referencing the scale and compositions of history paintings, Cifelli has built a detailed culture with its own aesthetic, way of living, and understanding of the world that is at once alien, and eerily similar to our own. He tells the story of the place through fictional anthropology with the paintings marking a visual representation of this alternative society.
