#1000daysofsketching series was conceived from starting a project originally intended for 100 consecutive days. The rules were simple, draw/illustrate/collage with any medium for 100 consecutive days and post on Instagram and Facebook. After the intended goal of 100 days were reached I felt like I had only just scratched the surface of discovering new ideas and using different techniques. It was at that moment I decided to continue and reach for a new goal of a 1000 days.
The entire project was only 95 days short of 3 years and cataloged on Instagram, #1000daysofsketching. This project really pushed me to find new ideas and creative solutions. The natural evolution of the work is interesting to observe and also served as a visual diary. I ultimately gained insight into why I make art and what I want to express through my art.
