Set in a traditional Chinese garden, A Garden of Waking Dreams depicts giant goldfish drifting among pavilions, stone bridges, ancient trees, and lotus ponds. Their warm glow illuminates the mysterious landscape, while tiny figures and animals continue their peaceful daily lives. Blending the poetry of traditional Chinese painting with contemporary surreal illustration, the work uses exaggerated scale and reimagined space to suggest how imagination transcends reality, bringing renewed wonder to ordinary life and expressing a longing for harmony between humanity and nature.
