The process of my work is driven by the activity of the subconscious mind, specifically, dreams and daydreams. Through music and memory a daydream may reveal itself. I pay attention to where my mind leads me and use this as direct reference for my paintings. The work starts initially with a surrealist style landscape. Conflicting perspectives and vantage points tied in with 3D forms highlight the otherworldly nature of a dream. I intend the work to reflect on the reality in which we live in contrast to the ones we create when while asleep. When people view my paintings, I want them to feel the ability and power that lies within creating a world all your own.
