I am inspired by the small moments of connection and revelation, the synchronicities that surface as a sliver of light. Through my paintings, I explore what it means to be enraptured by existence, highlighting our desire to see, feel, and become. My work is a celebration of all of our emotions, allowing space for each moment to be treasured. Painting is a very physical manifestation of these sentiments, and I allow my relationship with the paintings to develop, similar to how a person might need some time alone to reflect. Painting is a form of self-care, a way for me to feel more alive. It is a dance, it ebbs and flows with its breath, it is intuitive, reactionary, and beautiful. Through themes of transformation, fluidity, and freedom, I strive to inspire a sense of empathy and introspection.
