At Last

My name’s Hanaé Sánchez. Born to a Spanish father and a Khmer mother, I spent formative years in London which deeply shaped my artistic voice. With a background in fine arts, I found my interest in world-building and my childlike imagination converging in filmmaking. After graduating with honours from the University of the Arts London, I developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning film, animation and design, exploring how different mediums can elevate and enrich storytelling.

At Last — a short film and accompanying zine - premiered on It's Nice That and marked a turning point in my practice. It prompted a re-examination of my heritage and crystallised my interest in personal, character-driven storytelling. Looking inward, I found a way forward by turning intimate stories outward.
