I am a London-based illustrator, printmaker and graphic designer, originally from Xi’an, China. My work explores women’s lives, culture and the body, often drawing from Chinese visual traditions, folklore and everyday experience.
Coming from a graphic design background, I approach illustration as a form of visual communication. I am interested in how an image can distil a complicated idea, emotion or story into something immediate and accessible. My work is bold and graphic, combining simplified forms, strong compositions and tactile textures with influences from Chinese folk art and printmaking.
