Wenxuan Wang (b.1996, China) is a London based artist, working on photography and mixed media. After completing the bachelor degree in the Communication University of China, She chooses to develop her practice at the Royal College of Art. Her practice is influenced by surrealism and imagination phenomenology. With aspects of archive, history and identity all being the pillars of her practice, she attempts to construct a narrative of alienation, representing the infiltration and expansion of 'the Uncanny' in the everyday. The central themes of her works include the distortion of dynamic memory, and the return of repression in the unconscious.
