Backyard Fun ~ The Statement
The concept is simple.
No one truly knows what goes on behind closed doors.
That amazing looking house probably hides dark secrets.
Hiding behind the facade.
Lurking in the shadows.
Harboring the Shadow Self.
Crushing your Soul.
These drawings are acknowledging the strength it takes to break down those walls.
The misconceptions.
The assumptions.
The lessons to count on yourself.
To not apologize for your darkness.
To own your Shadow.
To embrace your true and whole Soul.
Using the Witch is symbolic for the women of the past who spoke their truths and were vilified for it.
Called Bitch.
Called difficult.
Called emotional.
Called down.
Broken down....
That is also why the walls are wonky.
The lines are askew...
Because our minds, behaviors, actions aren't always aligned or on cue...
