Beauty as a Weapon is an ongoing series of hyperreal CGI flowers about beauty, fragility and obsession. Since moving to Tokyo, I'm surrounded by flowers and butterflies every day, and this work grew from that pull: the way everything alive is drawn to what it desires. Thinking of Kusama's endless dots, Dior's couture gardens and the fever dream of 90s fashion photography, I treat nature as something to dress, decorate and control.
