Loneliness is not always about being alone.

During the 2026 Asian Para Games in Dubai, this series looks beyond the competition—to the quieter moments away from the podiums, medals, and applause. In corridors, waiting areas, changing rooms, and less visible spaces, people briefly return to their own worlds. Surrounded by hundreds of others, a person can still experience something that remains invisible to everyone around them. A gesture, a smile, a moment of silence, or a distant gaze may reveal only a small part of an inner life. These photographs do not attempt to explain or define what these people feel. Instead, they leave room for uncertainty and reflection.
What seems ordinary to one person may mean everything to another.
Every person is a world of their own—and no world can ever be seen in its entirety.
